The designed single-family house is located in a small town of Kobiór, near Pszczyna. The plot of land on which the house is to be located is on the edge of the village and the forest and is one of the last buildings. Right next to it stretches a dense forest, belonging to the so-called “Pszczyna Forests”. The forest was the starting point in the design process. The investor decided to buy the plot mainly due to its location and proximity to the forest, and for him it was the highest value around which the project should focus. The building is oriented on the north-south axis, with the eastern elevation facing the forest wall. The building’s shape is very simple, dictated by the provisions of the local spatial development plan. A single-storey house, clearly divided into day and night parts, with a built-in garage. The elongated shape has been perforated with large window openings, thanks to which every room in both the day and night parts of the house has a view of the forest. The building was treated with one material. The external walls and roof are finished with natural wood, installed using ventilated elevation technology. The investors were very keen to use natural materials that would age well and, over the years, become more and more integrated with the surroundings.
